Eliza Fletcher Kidnapping Case/ Investigation /

After reviewing the security footage, the police were able to verify this information; she was kidnapped and forced into a vehicle of a dark color at approximately 4:30 in the morning, close to the intersection of Central Avenue and Zach H. Curlin Street. During the brief altercation, she may have thrown her water bottle and cell phone on the ground; the phone was found in a broken state after being found on the ground. At the scene, the police were able to recover some of her personal items, but they removed everything else to preserve it for further examination. It is common knowledge that Fletcher, a dedicated athlete, used to jog along that path frequently. At seven in the morning, the authorities were notified that Fletcher had not returned home as expected. The family of Eliza Fletcher has issued a plea for her safe return and is providing a reward of fifty thousand dollars for any information that leads to her retrieval.

Who are the parents of Eliza Fletcher?

In Memphis, Tennessee, in the year 1987, Eliza Fletcher was brought into the world by her mother Adele and her father Beasley Wellford. Her family has been involved in a privately held hardware wholesale company that is known as the largest independent hardlines distributor in the world. The company generates an annual revenue of $3 billion and has been dubbed the largest in the world.

How Did  Eliza Fletcher Die?

In September 2022, Fletcher made headlines when she was abducted while out for a morning run on the campus of the University of Memphis. Fletcher, a billionaire heiress to a hardware firm, was seen on disturbing surveillance film exercising just before she was coerced into a dark SUV.

The FBI and TBI eventually joined police in conducting a swiftly initiated search.

However, on September 5, investigators discovered a body in South Memphis, close to Person Avenue and Victor Street.

Who Kidnapped Eliza Fletcher?

Police detained a guy they believe has ties to the case a day after Fletcher was reported missing.

On September 3, Cleotha Abston, 38, was taken into custody and accused with tampering with evidence and especially aggravated kidnapping.

Following the abduction, Abston was allegedly observed using a floor cleaner to clean the interior of his GMC Terrain, a “vehicle of interest,” according to Fox News.

After the kidnapping, his brother, Mario Abston, and another witness both reported seeing him “washing his clothing in the sink of the house.”

He had been acting “weird,” his brother continued.

Additionally, this is not the first time he has been charged with offences of this nature.

He was originally told by the Memphis Police Department to The US Sun that he had been sentenced to 20 years in prison without the possibility of release for the kidnapping of lawyer Kemper Durand on May 25, 2000.

Fletcher is expected to appear in court soon, however it is yet unknown if Abston took him.
